Newest Football Pundit!

My Grandson who is the youngest football pundit
has considered the serious question of the Super Bowl.
He says it will be the Colts by a 7 point spread.
He lives in Minnesota so he can now fully
support the Colts and wear his many Colts
outfits without fear of being beaten up by
Viking fans.

THUMBS UP FRIDAYS #1

My daughter in law who inspired me to blog,
has a Friday Blog where she enumerates things
she is very happy for. I don't want to exactly copy her
style so I am calling mine "Thumbs up Fridays".

THUMBS UP for losing weight -trying on a pair of jeans

that were too tight, having them fit and finding $11.50

in the pocket.

THUMBS UP for the miraculous rescue of my Jamaican

friends' daughter who was in Haiti and was recovered after being

buried for 17 harrowing hours. She is beat up, scared but seems okay.

She prayed, recited bible verses and did yoga breathing during the time.

THUMBS UP for the exciting Colts Game tommorow and to have

such and awesome football team in our city

THUMBS UP for the succesful removal of a tumor from my

little great nephew Grahm this morning. It was close to his

eye and had to come off. He is only 4. They are testing for

malignancy.

Japanese Bistro "TOMO".

Two thumbs up for TOMO
There is a new Japanese restaurant that opened
down the street from me. I can walk there if I want to.
There is a very nice bar and two hibachi dining areas.
I usually sit in the regular area and get some of the
special rolls. I love the spider roll which is a soft shell
crab delight. I also like the Keystone Roll aptly named
because the restaurant is on Keystone Avenue.
It is also an artistic expression of food. Check this
one out. Yummy! I hope they never go out of
business. The clientele is fairly young
so I must assume that young people like
designer sushi.

I GOT LUCKY LAST NIGHT WHEN AN
OLD FRIEND TREATED ME TO DINNER
AT THIS GREAT SPOT.

Snowed In!

This is the side entry to my condo taken
this morning. Not too bad yet but I
am sure it will get worse. This is what the lake looks like.
I did not get my kayaks in so if anyone
wants to come over for ice kayaking, I will
be here as I am going nowhere.
I am working from home. Calls have been
forwarded. Diet food was obtained at
Walmart yesterday.
I have 2 movies which I will watch later.
I did go to the mailbox. By the way, " on
demand " has an excercise channel and I did
do a 10 minute abs workout.

MY PLAY DATE!

On January 3, a cold day, I had a play date
with my niece Alana. She is a very creative
little girl who has lots of energy.
We got busy with the camera just like I do with Penny.
I like to do photo shoots with any willing person.
Suffice it to say she was willing.
I think this is her coy scholarly look.
Looks a little bit like a flapper.

This is her new doll house which actually has a toilet with
a toilet cleaning brush attached. She had a cake plate which
she thought was funny to place in the toilet. Go figure!

This is me with the bright light project which she got
tired of. We did a disney puzzzle succesfully. Check out
my snazzy new boots. I say the economy has rebounded.
she had a slight meltdown towards the end as
her Nana wanted to watch 60 minutes and
she wanted Kitt Kittridge. I figured that was
a perfect time to make my goodbye.

Blue Moon

This is a blue moon which rarely occurs.
If there are 2 in one month the 2nd is called
a blue moon and this was December 31, 2009
What a way to start 2010.
Friends gather to ring in 2010 start of
another decade
Stan and Molly's mom hit it off.
She is a Wisconsin girl and he is
a Wisconsin boy.

Barb wore a glittery gold top.
That's once in a blue moon

We liked something here.
I am not sure what it was.

This is a windmill powered by hot air.
There was certainly enough at the party

Penny sets the trend with tattood stockings.
Actually this outfit is tame for her.

More dancing and frivolity. Don's piano
playing kept them dancing
