A beautiful day gets you out of the house and out of
doing chores. It gets you on the road with your bike
and if you are lucky you have friends who want to
do the same thing. With spring in full bloom it was a day
do the same thing. With spring in full bloom it was a day
filled with sights. A great leisurely 23 mile ride to the center
of town via the Monon and back home by the canal tow path
was the 1st group ride of 2010.

A new building downtown which is reminiscent of the
Wynn in Vegas. Every area was hopping with people
who wanted to be outdoors.
A view of the redbuds as we approached the Zoo
No ride is complete without big lunches. At the end of the ride the reward is
a stop at the Bruge Cafe and sample their home brewed beers. There is a dark
Guiness stout like one. There is a pilsner type, there is a pale ale and my
favorite was the triple ripple which is like a wheat beer with hints of pear.
There is a limit of 2 on the triple ripple because it is 11% alcohol. We had
several beer connoisseurs in our group. So the question is do we ride for
excercise, food or beer? You be the judge.
