Life is a holiday on Penny Lane but not all the times/
16 days ago Penny fell off of her ATV and sustained
a head trauma, numerous lacerations, road rash and some
broken toes. She had to be taken by helicopter life line
to be treated at a hospital in Nashville.
She has been recovering for 16 days and I think she has
won the battle. Kathy, Betsy and I were able to visit her to
ascertain that she is well, not too worse for the wear and is
back to her normal self.
We took lunch and a plant.
Penny appreciated all the cards she recieved
from well wishers.
On a sunny day we lunched outdoors on peanut butter soup,
salad, foccacio bread and kit kats.
I was beginning to feel sorry for Penny when she pointed
out her rehab art work featured below. If you can create
this piece your brain is still workng.
She is now into deep pink colors for her flowers.
But Yellow is still her color of choice but the thing about
Penny is that she is totally into color. She is not
afraid of color.
Can we ever recapture a sunny day in April
when we celebrate a friend's recovery and feel
grateful that our friend is well? This was just one
of the best Sunday afternoons that I have spent.
What is missing here? We have lime green,
and hot pink and yellow.
A lavender chair of course. Well here it is.
Pennay is back!
