What's on the nightstand is an attempt to let you know what I am
reading currently. I know I have lots of things on that nightstand such
as the Webster's dictionary and the Holy Bible and lot's of books that
I may have started and some I intend to start. But there is always
one that I hang with and finish. So on top of my pile
is "The Guersey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" co authored
by mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. Through a series of letters
to an author, the remarkable tale of the German occupation of the
island of Guernsey during world war 11 unfolds.
The characters spring to life and you will love these offbeat people
who form a book club in adverse times with limited resources.
There is always a vein of humor running throughout.
I would reccomend it.
I recognize this nightstand theme. I like it. Always good to know what Nettie is reading.
