Beautiful Evening Sky Today I just learned of the death of one of my High School friends
named Yvette who we always called "Yogi " because of some
connection to Yogi the bear. She had fought breast cancer years ago
and died from lung and heart failure under somewhat mysterious
circumstances . No one really knew for sure what caused her
organs to fail. I also experienced the loss of my dear cousin
Cliff who was only 48 years. Cliff died from lung cancer
and leaves 2 young children and a big chinese family who loved him.
My point here is that we never know when or how we go so we may as
well take advantage of what we have now. Savor an evening sky or a
morning sky. Use the good china and glasses - do not worry if they
break. Family and Friends are there to be enjoyed. Don't miss out
on any chance to have lunch , go to a movie or play cards with them.
Always keep your eyes on the skies.

Beautiful words & good advice, Nettie.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Namaste.
First of all, I decided that I want to move on the lake so I can enjoy not only the beautiful scenery, but it will allow me to be nearer to you. Secondly, I DO use my silver-plated silverware and wash them by hand. Maybe it IS time to get out the sterling silverware now. And finally, yes, I am trying to come to grips with turning 60 and also trying not to think about my own mortality. I am trying to adopt a "might as well do it now" attitude, but that doesn't come easily, so I'll continue to read your ramblings for help.
